When a bulldog is taken in by the rescue network they are placed in a temporary foster home, they are usually kept from contact with the other dogs in the home until they are deemed to have no contagious health issues or aggression. Once the dog is in good health and properly trained they become available for adoption to a special home who can care for
If you are interested in adopting a bulldog from the rescue network go to www.rescuebulldogs.org and fill out an application. The application will be reviewed and forwarded to the Indiana network for selection. Only the best homes are selected and contacted. An extensive interview and home visit is required. Once a home is selected the dog will be placed in the home on a temporary basis. In 2-3 weeks another home visit will take place and a determination of permenant placement decision is made. At that point all adoption paperwork is finalized. The entire process from application to final adoption takes about 6 months.
